Password manager plugin

Added by Andrew Smith over 13 years ago

I'm wondering if anyone has seen/used/has/is developing a plugin that can be used to manage passwords for a project, e.g.

  • Live FTP details
  • Staging FTP details
  • cPanel login
  • Database username/password/host
  • etc.

I did find Secret Server (http://www.thycotic.com/products_secretserver_overview.html) but that's a standalone program and runs on IIS.

I know that a Wiki page could be created and the passwords stored in there, but that's not really secure. Ideally the passwords would be on a need to know basis, so that you could give users read/write permissions only where needed.

Thanks for any pointers,
Andy

This might help a bit...
http://www.redmine.org/plugins/redmine_wikicipher

Adds option to encrypt passwords into the database.

+1 . This could be very useful for almost everyone to the point I would consider making it part of the core of Redmine as an available feature. There is a paid version that is Redmine Passwords but costs 250 eur...

I'm leaning more towards needing a free version.

I did find this but seems a little janky and I dont want to mess up my system trying to test it.

Please help!
