Help with creating a simple wrapper, anyone?
Added by Mauro zaccaria over 12 years ago
Hello,
I have a few web apps that I would like to wrap inside redmine. Believing it was quite an easy task I embarked on the challenge...., but I'm severely code-challeged myself and got terribly stuck :(
My next steps should be
- create an action to call the index.html that lunches the app.
- somehow wrap the app inside redmine.
Right?
- where do I put my app: should I leave it where it is (a subdomain) or move it into the plugin folder?
- The app is called through a index.html file: how can I code the action for calling the index.html and display the app wrapped in?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
--M

Thank you Steven for the swift reply.
redmine_top_bar_links is exactly how I got inspired, unfortunately ultragreen.net is not loading for me and the only repository I've found with that pluging is in their site. Furthermore it only seems compatible with redmine 1.4 and I have 2.0 installed..
Perhaps we should put some efforts in maintaining the plugin list?
I could help there... I have scanned each and every plugin to find which is compatible with 2.0 and which is not and it took me just a couple of hrs.... but that's topic for a different thread.
Problem remains though...
Any help in making a simple wrapper anyone?

Hi,Mauro
I used it in my redmine 2.0.3 and it works well.
Or you can try to find wrapper plugin for you. and I'm sorry that I do not develop plugin for redmine.

Steven,
As I cannot reach ultragreen.net (non loading) could you possibly share your copy of the plugin?
Thank you,

Hello,
Searching the GIT repository I have found redmine_top_bar_links and it work!
Unfortunately it is NOT a wrapper, not even close... it just provide a a way to a link to an external site.
Does anyone know if a wrapper for redmine exists?
Thanks
