A plugin for external documents?

Added by Ivan Cenov about 12 years ago

Hi,

I would like to maintain files (par example version releases) that are external to Redmine. The 'Files' module maintain internal files only. Is there a plugin that would allow to refer to external files. It would be ideal if the links could be in SVN/Git etc. repositories.

If the files are in a SVN/Git repository, you could add that repository to a project and then use the source:/path/to/file syntax for referring to it?

Yes, I could use source:/path/to/file syntax indeed. But where can I use them? - in wiki pages. I would like to use them in some more organized way, like in "Files" module or in DMSF plugin. DMSF is not 2.x.x compatible.

I'm not familiar with either of those, but if you want these files to be organised, the repository tab would let you see the structure of the repository -- that is, which files are in which folders.

I don't have any other suggestions, unfortunately.

Hi Ivan,
I'm having similar problem since DMSF apparently is not going to be maintained. If you found a solution, please post it here.

I think I will try with owncloud and csync2 .. but I'm not sure if it will work. :(

That's not correct, I use DMSF under 2.2.3 and it runs without problems!

What the hell is wrong with you people? Stop making assumptions!
Daniel is actively maintaining it and working on a complete rewrite...
