Help on getting Workload Plugin ready for redmine 4.x ?

We are using this plugin at work:

Since our update ro redmine 4 there has been some trouble getting it to work becaus auf compatipility-issues to latest ruby.
I managed to get a fork running on redmine 4 with some little knowledge and some google-searches.

Unfortunately it is not possible to save holliday-entrys to the database.
I made my self an issue and trying to get things woking.
Unfortunaltely I am not very good in coding with ruby I am not able to solve this alone.
Maybe someone here is interested in giving me some hints oder maybe wants to contribute?
Hopefully someone might help me here.
