How to handle SPAM Tickets?
Added by Filou Centrinov over 11 years ago
Hello Jean-Philippe and Contributors!
Spam Tickets are created over and over again. How we handle these ticket? Should we delete them or comment them with "Please use http://demo.redmine.org for testing purposes." ? If we leave spam tickets may we categorize them? Categorized spam tickets give us the opportunity to delete them easily after one year, for example.

Just my two cents on this:
Should we delete them or comment them with "Please use http://demo.redmine.org for testing purposes."
I generally make a distinction between spam issues and test issues. I usually close test issues with such a note and resolution set to 'invalid'.
Spam issues OTOH can be (and are being) deleted. Whether or not this is a good practice; this is how it is currently.
If we leave spam tickets may we categorize them? Categorized spam tickets give us the opportunity to delete them easily after one year, for example.
See above. Besides: I don't think we should invest time in categorizing issues which are to-be-deleted after all :)
