Redmine

Is it a secret or can anyone explain a bit how Redmine gets developed?

It would be interesting to get a look behind the scenes. E.g.: How are decisions made, especially which features will be implemented next? And do have any special filters to deal with a huge list of issues? Do you use private tickets a lot? Do you have non-public projects for development? Or furhter Redmine instances? Are there any meetings or do you chat/skype?
