Which IDE do you use for plugin development

Added by Stéphane Briand SeaSideTech over 8 years ago

Personally, I use Aptana for several years.
The problem is that this IDE is no more maintain.

My experience shows that it is not possible to efficiently create and maintain Rails application, thus Remdine plugin, without a good IDE.

Can you share your feedback?

Thanks

In my opinion, Rubymine (or IntelliJ IDEA) is best. It has some nice debugging features.
Also accessing database is easy with using Rubymine’s database tool.

Thank you for you feedback.

At the moment, the last version of Aptana (version 3) is still working, even with a recent version of redmine.
I get it working with redmine v3.1, and ruby v2 and rails v4.2

But is it a pain to set up, and Aptana has not been updated for several year.

I will look at Rubymine and IntelliJ IDEA.
