Multiple groups within a project that can only view their own issues

Description
I have a project set up in redmine. I want to give all of my clients access to this project so that they can report bugs and issues. The problem is that I don't want client A to see the submissions made by client B.
Is there a way for a group of users (user 1, 2 and 3) to only see issues that any of them created and users 4,5 and 6 only see their own issues as well and NOT issues that users 1,2,3 submitted?
With today's Redmine, it would be very tricky. The 'simplest' way to do what you describe is to have each client group use a shared group username, and then assign them a role with issue visibility set to created-by-or-assigned-to.
Alternatively, what many people do is create subprojects, one for each client. This allows for much better tracking of who does what at the individual level, and the project owner can track the global view from the parent project. It also lets you enable files/documents/forums without worrying about one client posting a file another client shouldn't see.
Subprojects won't always be the best solution. It requires duplication in a lot of areas (versions, categories, etc.) and will make your Redmine feel cluttered over time. Group level visibility controls would be very handy in Redmine, and there are issues already being tracked here for that request, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
