It would be great if email truncation could be configured per project or tracker. This issue is somehow related to #26415 as the main concern is to truncate quoted emails in replies and signatures. However, for some projects/tracker it can be explicitly desirable to not truncate those lines. A workflow for specific projects/trackers may explicitly imply forwarding emails or complete email threads to an issue. Right now I have to choose for the whole system to either truncate this information or to always drag the whole conversation along.
