Hi, this patch is a to me, a natural extension to "Link values to URL" feature for text field format custom field.
Suppose we have a requirements like the following: "I'd like to show on view for a text custom field what I want based on a regex mask in the same way applied to format a link value"
See for example, for a custom field like this:
Will be shown as:
supposed a field populated as: "1234 - 0000"
This was vital to me to manage an integration with an external sistem that passed to redmine ticket number built with pattern "ticket number - UID on source" and I do not wanted to show UID in show.
