Description

This patch adds a "user group" custom field that will allow selecting one the the existing user groups tied to the active project.

This feature has been implemented in #21026 for Redmine 7.1.0.

User format custom fields now have a "Possible values" option, and you can select groups that are members of the project by setting it to "Groups" or "Users and groups".
