Having a parent task A, and subtasks B and C.
And with task A assigned to John.
All updates to subtasks B and C should be notified to John.
I think that the normal behavior is to consider that everyone involved with parent task A is automatic related to all A's subtasks.
This should work for taks's Author, Watchers and Assigned too.
