I think I figured it out:
Instead of
DocumentRoot /var/www/
you put
DocumentRoot /usr/share/redmine/publi... allen yeh

In the instructions the database.yml was located in /etc/redmine but the ruby file doesn't look fo... allen yeh

Change @/etc/redmine/database.yml@ to @/etc/redmine/default/database.yml:@ allen yeh
