customize files area

Hi. I'm a new user and I have been trying to find how to customize the "Files" area so that the description of the files is displayed, rather than other information such as the MD5. Is it possible to do this somehow?

This is not impossible, but doing so requires a working knowledge of rails because you'd need to either patch the core or make a plugin.
