Context menu from Gantt chart?

Any reason why there is no right-click context menu to edit issues from the gantt chart? Are there any plugins out there for this?

Because it just isn't implemented. Though, a feature request for such a feature (slightly different) already exists at issue #1806 and it's already been patched at patch #2024.
