Spent Time needs to support its custom fields consistently

Hello,

I found it useful that I can add custom fields to Spent Time. This is because when users log time in our system, we'd like them to associate it with a particular client, because some projects can be worked on under multiple clients, and we charge different clients for different components. It seemed appropriate to add a custom field called client to Spent Time for this purpose, as "Activity" is already listed as Billable and Non-Billable work. We like to track work that "could have been billed" as Non-Billable but associated with a particular client, so Activity being separate from Client is important to us (at least right now).

That said, I can't run reports based on my new field, Client. I also can't have Client as a drop-down menu I guess, which is preferable to free text.

Anything I can do to make this work better, or is this a new feature request (in which case, please add these capabilities!).

*Update: I see the "List" type which I hadn't seen earlier, my stupid mistake. I am still curious about getting Client to be something I can filter with, though! Thanks for any assistance.

*Update 2: Well, one oversight on my part makes me look foolish here. Now that I tried the List type... I see that the filter shows up in reports. I guess with free text, it doesn't let you filter, but with List, it does. Great. List will work for us. Out of curiosity, any plans to let "Text" also filter (if my understanding of what happened is correct)?
