Questions about "Git LFS"

Added by nov aoki about 8 years ago

Hello everyone.

I have some questions about "Git LFS".

1. Is it possible to use the "Git LFS" in the version of my redmine?
Redmine version 3.3.0.stable
Ruby version 2.1.2-p95 (2014-05-08) [x86_64-linux]
Git 2.4.5

2. If I want to use the "Git LFS" in Redmine, is it possible and how to set it up?

3. Are there any plans to make it easier to introduce the "Git LFS" in the future Redmine?

Thanks.

Git on redmine is a disaster. It's a stale and broken feature.

It doesn't support fork management, merge requests, and the built in Git plugin requires you to set up a CRON job to fetch/pull/sync from remotes.

Just use gitlab. You get GIT LFS, fork management, merge request handling, code review (comments), and lots of stuff that is NOT and probably never will be in redmine.

Hi Warren Postma.

Thank you for the reply.
I will consider the use of gitlab.

Thanks.
