Redmine Fails to pick PORT number specified for email notifications.

Our redmine runs on host redmine.techx.com and port 81

Goto: Administration -> Settings -> General

Change Host name and path from default(localhost:3000) to redmine.techx.com:81

Now all emails sent out by Redmine is without the port 81 !! Thus clicking the link gives "Page not Found" error. See example below

I could not reproduce the problem. It seems working fine.

Do you use any plugins? One of the plugins may interfere. Could you paste the environment information? Please open Administration > Information and you will see it in a grey box.
