Report or Filter

Added by Sadeq Salehi about 6 years ago

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to find issues which have been in a specified status. The provided filter on the top of issues page lets me search only within the current status. Is there any way I can search according to a past status? For example, how can I find issues which were in "In progress" status?

Thanks a lot.

The only way I can think of at the moment (without any external plugins) involves an Atom / RSS feed, it's a workaround not a recommendation:
1. I would search for issues of a /specific status/
2. Then click the Atom feed button at the bottom of the screen
3. Copy the URL to that feed from your browser window
4. Open an RSS feed reader of your choice (some email clients have that functionality, for instance Microsoft Outlook)
5. Subscribe to that Atom feed / open that Atom (RSS feed)

Each time an issue appears in Redmine with that /specific status/ you'll receive a new line item in that Atom feed within your feed reader window, with:
  • basic info about an issue
  • a link to a particular issue in its current status, which could be different at the very moment that you click the link

Such a listing based on RSS / Atom feeds opened in a particular RSS feed reader might even give you a search capability.

Thanks for your reply Dominik,

I was trying to find a way within your tricky idea, but when I imported an atom file to Microsoft Excel, I found that unfortunately the history is not available again. I could see only the last status again. Besides, it was not that searchable. Take a look at this line in the atom file. Several important fields are combined in a single node. That makes the search difficult.

I hope there was a solution to search within the history of status.
