Redmine Plugin that will allow ticketing without redmine account

Added by ken mendoza almost 5 years ago

Hello all!

Is there a plugin for redmine that will allow non-redmine users to create a ticket? Developers and Project Managers in our office are the only ones using redmine while the IT guys are using OSticket for ticketing (people who creates ticket in OSTicket are clients, devs, devs and clients from the company's sister company, people in the office who needs IT help). Now, we want to use just one service to make everything centralized and efficient.

id appreciate any help from you guys :)

Hi Ken,

If everybody is allowed to see the same project you could make your IT helpdesk public and grant the anonymous role rights to add and edit issues with no plugin involved.
The downside is, there are no email notifications for the issues author and all tickets are visible to everybody.

This article in the wiki could also be of interest for you: https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineReceivingEmails#Enabling-unknown-users-to-create-issues-by-email

As you asked for plugins, there are two helpdesk plugins available in the plugins section right now:

Kind regards,

Bernhard
