Is the forum signup process open?

There is a user that seems not receiving confirmation mail and he has asked this at #redmine:libera.chat (nick: nbenjamn)

Hi Joan,

usually the registration is open for everyone. We had a similar problem few month ago. I'll contact Go Maeda. He should be able to lookup the username and activate him manually.

For me it the same the registration failed over a period of 6 weeks in-between with a few trials.
The server seems to know my e-mail address and tells me to send me an e-mail for the account activation,
but nothing happens.

Perhaps it's a problem with the SMTP server configuration. I can imagine that this could happen, if the receiving server declines emails from specific domains in some circumstances. I had similar issues with an SMTP server which was declined by Gmail. Wich provider do you have for your emails? Maybe Jean-Philippe Lang can take a look at the issue in a free moment. He's the only person I know who has access to the Redmine server.

thanks for the response!
It is a private domaine-address: firstname@privatedomainname.toplevel_domain that is forewarded to an Google-Account.
