Difference between redmine2.5.2-0 and redmine2.5.2-2
Added by Ananya Sinha over 1 year ago
At my company, we are using a very old version of redmine (2.5.2-0).
The requirement is to move our application to a new Linux server. The installation (.run) file provided by our last contractor is of redmine2.5.2-2.
I cannot find the installer of redmine2.5.2-0 anywhere.
What's the difference between these two versions?

Redmine official releases do not have numbers like "-0" or "-2". Perhaps the installers you have were distributed by a third-party vendor such as BitNami.
My guess is that the difference between "2.5.2-0" and "2.5.2-2" is whether it includes minor fixes by the vendor or not, and the version of Redmine is the same 2.5.2. So, I think there is no problem to use "2.5.2-2".
But I recommend you upgrade your Redmine to the latest version because older unsupported versions of Redmine contain unfixed security vulnerabilities.

Thanks for the response. You're right, it is distributed by BitNami.
