Wiki-Link with file://

Hi,

Is there any possible way to place a link into the redmine wiki with a url "file://my/local/or/network/path/filename" ? (From my understanding only links with "http://" will work)

For our internal redmine, we have all access to the same file servers (like 192.168.0.123 - with link: file://192.168.0.123/projects/customer/spec/specfile.pdf), where our normal specs are (.docs or .pdfs). I don't want to upload them, a link in the wiki would be sufficient.

Any idea on that?

Only IE will treat file:// URIs as clickable links, Firefox won't make them clickable, and I think other browsers neither.
