How to remove attachments in Forums ?

Added by Nicolas Maitrot over 14 years ago

I don't know how to remove a file attached to a message in a forum.
Am I missing something or is it just not doable ?

You can remove forum-message attachments only if your role has the "Edit messages"-permission for the "Boards"-module.

See also the Roles and permissions page in the Redmine Administrator Guide.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I do have the "Edit messages"-permission for the "Boards"-module (redmine 0.8.1), but editing the message brings up a page that does not propose to edit or delete the attachments.

Ah ha! You shouldn't edit the message. The delete button (icon) should be rendered on the same line, following every message-attachment:

See also issue #1792 for the integration-history.

Mischa.

Wonderful !
I must have been misinformed about the version of Redmine I use.
It must be older than 0.8.1.

Best regards.

This has been sticky long enough. It's in the guide, too so I'll un-stick it.
