Clicking Issues always results in "File Download" prompt
Added by Wicola Lation over 14 years ago
I'm to Redmine, just recently installed it in my office environment. It's got a much better look and feel compared to TRAC!
I'm facing a strange problem though. On my PC (Win XP, IE6), when I click on the "Issues" link, instead of opening up the Issues page as expected, I always get a "File Download" dialog box with the message "Do you want to open or save this file?", with the filename "export.pdf"
Checking the production.log shows "Sending data export.pdf".
This has puzzled me for a week. I only face this problem on my PC (with any redmine accounts), so I'm pretty sure the problem has to do with my IE6.
Any ideas?

I forgot to mention that if I right-click on Issues and open up a new IE window, the Issues page will open up normally in that new window!

I'm also new to Redmine and am experiencing the same behavior.
I'm using the BitNami Redmine Stack 2.1.2-0 and it happens on both IE9 and Firefox.
It's not limited to the Issues link but because I use that most often that is where it mostly occurs.
The production log does not show anything about the download, only the GET request for clicking on the link. For example, if I click on the Submit button for an issue, it would prompt me for a download but the screen would not change to show that the submit had succeeded, even though the submit had succeeded. The download prompt doesn't seem to affect anything, other than being an annoyance.
