LDAP group based authentication against Active Directory fails. Any idea why?
Added by Ludwig Hurt about 14 years ago
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a Redmine installation using LDAP authentication against a windows AD. The Wiki helped me to get the basic setup. What's different is that we want to use AD groups in order to separate access. The problem is that I don't get the authentication based on the group. Access without group restriction works. The used group string is:
CN=ACLRed,OU=Sicherheitsgruppen,DC=intern,DC=company,DC=de
The user that is used for the tests exists already so there's no on-the-fly user creation and the user is memeber of the group ACLRed. It's just an authentication issue right now.
I've also installed Wireshark that reports that 0 results were returned.
Any idea how we could handle this?
Thanks very much
Ludwig

I don't think the stock redmine has the ability to limit the returned result set, sorry.
