Limit visible projects based on domain name

Added by Koert van der Veer almost 14 years ago

I'd like to host a bugtracker for three projects, two public and one private. I'm planning to move these into one Redmine instance, but to the outside world, they need to be separate.
For example, if a customer visits tracker.project1.com, he just needs to see project 1, if he visits tracker.project2.com, he needs to see just project 2, but when I log in on tracker.internal.mycompany.com, I want to see all projects that I have access to.

What would be a good way to separate these projects as described above?
I'm using mod_passenger on Ubuntu 10.10.

I'd be interested in hearing how this can be handled as well. I like the idea of several projects being hosted in the same instance of Redmine but it would be nice to be able to map a specific project to a virtual domain. I do not think my requirements would be as strict as the OP requirements (sibling projects being unavailable/unlisted) but I suppose that could be an added bonus.

That will at best not be easy, as you'd have to test in which project's context each and every object/route you access is.
