Quick Fix for 20 Page Long Documents Tab?

The latest version upgrade turned our Documents tab into a huge, unmanageable mess.

We have 67 documents, and now each of them is showing between 6 - 14 lines of text, making the Documents tab 20 pages long. It takes actual effort to find the document you're looking for--inconvenient and annoying. Many of the docs display text in size 48, and one of them even has a picture showing in the Documents tab. I'm really tired of this. Does anyone know a way to put the Documents tab back to normal? Or at least crunch the summaries down to just one or two lines? Is there a variable I can jsut change from number_of_lines = 6 to number_of_lines = 2?

You could probably grab the documents/index view from a previous version, not sure what else would break though.
