Any way to control who sees Target Version when creating issues?

Added by Deoren Moor almost 14 years ago

Hi,

Is there any way to control who sees the Target Version field when creating issues? I've found that I can change the status of a Version to locked and the field will disappear for everyone, but that's not very ideal.

A workaround (assuming there isn't anything that can be done), is for the admin to keep Versions locked until they're ready to "collect" issues for inclusion in a version.

Something tells me I'm overlooking the option since I noticed this site uses Versions and I'm unable (not a bad thing) to choose a Target Version when creating a new issue.

Thanks for your time.

Apart from the "open", "locked" and "closed" statuses: no. The first allows issues to be added to that version, the second locks the version so that no one can add any issues to that version but it still shows on the roadmap page, and the last removes the version from the roadmap page in addition to removing it from the drop-down on the issue page.
