email settings?

I've read a lot of talk about an email.yml file, but for the life of me I don't have one, and I never configured email settings.

Do I just create an email.yml file and put it in the config directory?

The file shipped with redmine is config/email.yml.example, you should copy this file to email.yml in the same directory, and then modify email.yml using your mail-server's parameters.

I haven't that file.
where can i find it?

If you downloaded the latest version or updated from the svn trunk, you will have the file.
