Can I have seperate page for individual customers?

Added by Praveen Felix about 13 years ago

Hi All,

I have installed Redmine and created various projects (5 in total).

The users include :

a) Internal Employees
b) Employees of Customer 1
c) Employees of Customer 2
d) Employees of Customer 3

NOTE: The Projects are common to all the Customers.

The initial idea was to use the Redmine as our internal Project Management and Bug Tracking Tool.
But now, we are planning to give the Redmine access to our Customers also so that they can create bugs/issues in their Projects.

  • Is there a way we can have seperate, customized pages for each customers?
  • Also currently any customer can see our internal bugs and other customer's bugs status. How can we restrict this?

Any advice will be of great help for us as we are planning to go live with our PM & Bug Tracking tool very soon.

Warm Regards,

Praveen

You can create two sublevel projects (one each per customer) . Customerc create issues in this projects not knowing each other. In the top level project only open for internal users, ypu can see and access all this items.

You can change projects theme via css sytelsheets, and can adopt this theme changer plugin to make theme fixed per project instead per user.
Css styling in wiki is possible via creating a wiki page called "StyleSheet" anyhwere in projects wiki and posting css code here.

Also currently any customer can see our internal bugs and other customer's bugs status. How can we restrict this?

You can make issues private that customers no longer see this items on their projects list. Private issues is new since Redmine 1.20.

After all you can close redmine from customer and make up some html sites just making the customer able to post bugs/feature via html from which launches https post via redmine rest api. Getting issues via redmine rest api return xml list and can feed an issue list - or just use the rss feed of the issue list
