I can't see how to edit the percentage done field of a task that has subtasks
Added by Dave Sag about 13 years ago
When I have a task with subtasks and I work on that task (not a subtask) it won't let me edit the percentage done field of the task.
See this screen shot showing the Percentage Done popup menu is missing.
Is this a feature or a bug?

It's the expected behaviour looking at the way how subtasks are currently implemented within Redmine (see issue #443). When subtasks are available the value of the %-done field is (also) a computation of it's substasks.

Hello,
I've the same kind of issue.
I can't see and update the "Percentage done field" even for a single and standard task.
Did I made something wrong.
Thanks,
Cédric

Sorry to disturb. I finaly found...
I was setup in the global setup that % should be calculated as per the status instead of as per user input.

I too was confused why I couldn't see %Done or Estimated Time. Go to Administration --> Trackers --> make sure you check %Done or whatever standard fields you want for your tracker. That's one of the cool things with Trackers, you can have specific custom fields associated with your tracker.
