Changing Issues / Categories / Submitting Code

Added by Karl Heinz Marbaise about 16 years ago

Hi,

after becoming a Contributor (Thanks for that) i would like to ask some things:
Based on checking the issue list there are some (or may be more) issues which are not categorized ... I would like to suggest to change some of these issues to the "correct" category...but i want to ask before i change something in the issues....

Is this welcome to change the category (no category) to an useful category ?

The other thing is i have made several Patches (#2114) and would like to know if they will be seen sometimes in the code ? I would like to enhance the work on the code......or might be simpler to have commit access to the Code ?

Kind regards
Karl Heinz Marbaise

Please do categorize any issues you find. I use the categories to filter the issue list down to what I'm comfortable working on in my limited time (e.g. plugin issues are easy for me to fix quickly).

Hi Eric,

btw what do you think about issues e.g. #1848 (I would suggest to close this issue) ?

If it is a duplicate issue or an invlaid one, go ahead and close it along with a short message saying why it's being closed. I consider invalid issues:

  • a request for something that it's part of Redmine (e.g. bug report on third party plugin) or
  • misconfiguration of Redmine, I usually wait until the author confirms they reconfigured Redmine correctly or
