"Upgrading" from 0.8.0 to latest version
Added by Laurent Richelle over 11 years ago
Hello,
One of my client wanted to "upgrade" his redmine app from 0.8.0 to the latest available. ( Yeap, it's an old one)
Despite some googling and deep search in the forum, it is not clear to me how to achieve this.
Other point is that the hosting machine should be also upgraded (from physical to virtual, from Centos 5.1 to 6.4,...)
I had the following in mind :
Backup of the MySQL database and import of the dump in the new freshly ( Centos 6.4 + Redmine 2.3) installed environment !!!
Am I wrong ?
Thank you for your answer.
Regards,
Laurent Richelle
PS: one info, there is currently no repo linked to the projects contained in the old DB...

I posted a random list of some steps to do three days ago in another thread about an upgrade of a 0.7.3 instance, see RE: Upgrade help.
