Synology package: Enable HTTPS by default

Added by Martin Neuß over 3 years ago

Hi,

as i ´ve already written i ´m new to redmine. i ´ve installed it on my synology ds920+ using the provided redmine package.

is there a way to enable https by default, preferably using the installed default certificates on my ds920+?

there is a way to do it manually (changing the environment settings, manually importing the certificate, …) but could it be done automatically?

with best regards

martin

  1. Certifcate you can get over Synologysystem->certificates
  2. Export certifactes to redmine directory /certs
  3. Link out this directory in Docker Envoriment

hi my solution:

i used the synology reverse proxy-functionality. i created an entry for the reverse proxy by creating a subdomain redmine (e.g. redmine.mydomain.dscloud.me - using the synology ddns-system) and linking its https-port to the containers http port. enabled hsts ind the reverse proxy-settings

worked without problems so now there is no conflict using the standard https port. sometimes other ports are blocked bei firewalls.
