RedMine OAuth

Added by Gael Duret about 2 years ago

Hello All,

WE are using red mine and fetching email from our Office365 account.
Microsoft will deactivate the basic Authentication starting October first !
Do anyone have a solution how to setup Red mine in order to :
- Send notification (SMTP)
- Receive email (POP3)

At this point I'm open to any option, Redmine plugin, using a intermediate server, etc ....
Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen an update but will be interested in this as well as happy to support as well if anyone knows a way to develop it?

Just updating the subject so that it is searchable for that keyword as well.

Sorry but I am updating as much information as I can on this.

Microsoft's blog on this is here. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online

Hello All,

I'm still looking for a solution here but did not find anything.
I read following thread : https://www.redmine.org/issues/24808
I also tried to apply these patch with our 5.0.0.stable version but did not get it working. the patch program return "already patched" for most of these patch and some error for other. After applying these patch Redmine cannot runn anymore, have to be back to original version.

Do anyone successfully implemented this patch ?

Thanks !
