Gravatar Avatars are not reflecting in my application
Added by Ananya Sinha over 1 year ago
My company's requirement is to migrate our redmine application from old linux server (RHEL 6.1.0) to new linux server. (RHEL 8.7)
I have installed bitnami redmine stack (redmine2.5.2-2) on the new Linux server.
The migration has worked out successfully (w.r.t. db restoration, themes etc).
However, our application was using gravatar.com and it was having different avatars for each user.
My current application (on new server), is having the default avatars for all users. We have bypassed the firewall by using proxy so that our server can connect to https://GRAVATAR.COM. The server is establishing the connection successfully however, gravatar seems to be inactive in my application.
How can I activate gravatar in my application? ( In Redmine app settings Gravatar icon is already set to default ).
Additionally, how can I assign different avatar to each user?

If I were you, I would first check to see if there are any problems with the configuration of the proxy server.

I am able to connect to the website through proxy server successfully. Are there any other steps for configuring gravatar?
