Seprate application server on database server

In our Case ,we need seprate the redmine server on database server and storage attachment.
In configuration MySQL I can change
host: My application server

But I'm asking the best way to configuration the path of storage attachment
attachments_storage_path:
How from server to server without decrease quality to save

Simply mount your network folder on your redmine application server and symlink as file/ folder into redmine folder.
