Change calendar start date

Hi,

The calendar show issues depending on their start dates, but I don't use that field on my project.

Is it possible to set another custom field to be used as a start date in the calendar ?

That is not possible in Redmine. The calendar shows issues based on their respective start and due dates. The same fields are used in the Gantt chart, Roadmap, ... throughout Redmine.

Maybe with some source code changes or plugins ?
