It will be very handy, because now I'm doing lot of summaries for last year and I still need to manually select from todates...

Just noticed this issue and I'm wondering what report you are talking about? Which date-selector do you mean? The ones used for issuelist date attribute filters? Or the ones used on the timelog reports?
