Teams

Following the decisions at DevMeeting0, several teams were created to lead in certain aspects of Redmine development. Below are the names of the Team Leads, as well as a short description of what each team does. Contact these individuals if you would like to regularly contribute in their areas. However, you do not have to be a member of any team to contribute! Click on the Team name to find out more about what that team does, and how to join/contribute.

Development Team

  • Team lead: Jean-Philippe Lang
  • Members: Azamat Hackimov
  • Description: This team is in charge of the overall development and direction of Redmine. This team has check-in access to the main repository and incorporates the advice and directions from the other teams as well as makes "executive" decisions on what goes into Redmine.

Documentation Team

  • Team lead: (vacant)
  • Members:
  • Description: This team is in charge of collecting, refining, and organizing the documentation surrounding redmine. This includes the help text within redmine, as well as the guides and docs on redmine.org

Issue Tracker Triage Team

  • Team lead: Felix Schäfer
  • Members:
  • Description: This team attacks incoming issues, tests possible bugs, and makes sure issues are filed and followed through correctly.

Plugin Team

  • Team lead: (vacant)
  • Members:
  • Description: This team is in charge of developing, extending, and supporting the growing plugin architecture of Redmine, as well as the expanding redmine ecosystem. The upcoming Plugin Directory falls within the purview of this team.

Release Team

  • Team lead: Jean-Philippe Lang
  • Members:
  • Description: In charge of packaging and releases Redmine

Translation Team

  • Team lead: Azamat Hackimov (tentative)
  • Members:
  • Description: In charge of maintaining and expanding the over 35 languages redmine currently supports.

Community Relations Team (PR)

  • Team lead: (vacant)
  • Members:
  • Description: This team is in charge of the user and developer Public relations and media. The Redmine Blog as well as the news sections of redmine.org are controlled here.

UX Team-User Interface and User Experience

  • Team lead: Igor13
  • Members: Shane Pearlman
  • Description: This team is in charge of improving the UX of redmine. "Make Redmine accessible, obvious, and intuitive to end-users."

User Support Team

  • Team lead: Felix Schäfer
  • Members:
  • Description: Forums, IRC, email all fall within the many ways this team supports users.
