Problem in the path configuration

Iam new to redmine and i installed it through the hostgator panel.All the database are set up properly and i want the redmine to run like http://mysite.com/redmine but previously redmine ran fine in the path http://mysite.com the main path but not in the http://mysite.com/redmine.
So i informed hostgator about it and they created a folder redmine put the .htaccess file there and now the redmine runs in the path http://mysite.com/redmine but neither the css is loaded and also the link directlr point to
http://mysite.com/login
http://mysite.com/login/register
The redmine part is missing. How can i solve this.

There's some info on configuring redmine to run on a sub-uri here HowTo_Install_Redmine_in_a_sub-URI.
