Custom drop-down field.
Added by Nick Gorbikoff about 14 years ago
Hello.
I've been looking hard around here, and I can't figure out how to setup a custom drop-down field - similar to category or priority. I need to add a couple of extra fields with predefined values. I mean I could probably use regex, to make sure they don't mistype it, but the idea, is to give options to users. Sometimes they don't know all the available ones.
Is there a way? Or do I need to fork redmine?

You probably want issue custom fields of the list type, see RedmineCustomFields.

Well, that wasn't really mentioned in your first post, and if by that you mean that you want to be able to filter by a subset of the values of the list, you can (or at least it works on ours, and I haven't touched that part…). You can even go here http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/issues and add a filter "affected version", that allows to select a subset too.

uhmm y're right, i didn't see that little "+" till now.
I still have the problem that i added custom field "customer" of type list for projects and i can select more than just one when creating or editing the project. The multi select only seems work on tickets, don't it?
