No tracker is associated to this project. Please check the Project settings.

Hi,
I've installed redmine ok and gone through and and created a new project, a dummy user, role etc... with everything turned on but when I go to create a new issue on the project I get the following message.

'No tracker is associated to this project. Please check the Project settings.', I've looked all through the project settings (And redmine settings) and can't see anything that may associate a tracker with a project or even anything to choose which tracker I want (assuming there are many).

I've got all the modules turned on for the project ( Issue tracking, Time tracking, News, Documents, Files, Wiki, Reepository,Boards) the menus I get in settings are ( * Information, * Modules , * Members , *Versions , * Issue categories , * Wiki , * Repository , * Forums)

Can anyone help me to get redmine up and running correctly, can't see anyone else posting this problem?

From you project settings, look at the "Information" tab. You should see a "Trackers" section with checkboxes for all defined trackers (defect, feature, patch, ...). Check them and it should be OK...

A screenshot would be better than the html page source ;-)

Anyway, I have a stupid question: Have you defined trackers in your REMINE general settings (Administration -> Trackers) ?

Hello,

I had a similar issue : created a new tracker but it didn't show on my project "new issue" form. Thanks to this thread I found out where to look to associate it with my project.

So I have a suggestion : when creating a new tracker, let's have a "for all projects" checkbox. We have the same option for custom fields.

Thanks for your feedback,

Barbara
