Automatic re-assignment on new status "Resolved" or "Feedback"

from other issues tracking systems I know a feature that automagically re-assignes a ticket to the author when it has been set to "resolved" or "feedback" for example by the assignee.
Is there something like this available for Redmine or planned for future releases?
Unfortunately this ticket (http://www.redmine.org/issues/521) was opened 5 years ago, but there's no progress
