Reorganizing Wiki Pages
Added by Matt N about 13 years ago
Hi, I would like to reorg some of the content on our wiki pages and move them to other pages. The issue is that we have some embedded jpgs (as attachments) on the pages that we want to reorg/move. I cannot seem to find a way to ref these jpgs from other pages; Do we need to delete the attachments from the old page and reupload them to the new page?
TIA

For clarities sake: there's no need to actually delete the attachments from the old pages. For example when you want to keep the old pages for referencing purposes.
You do have to re-attach the attachments to your new pages, as Etienne already stated.

This is especially annyoing if you wanna move the wiki sit to another project.

Mischa, when you say reattach, does that mean reuploading the files (so effectively 2 copies are on redmine if I don't delete the former?) or is there a way to ref/attach them to the new page?

Yes, that is what we mean.
or is there a way to ref/attach them to the new page?
Nope.

Move as in a project copy with wiki-content? AFAIK attachments also aren't copied with a project copy. Though, for this (as opposed to attachments move between wiki-pages itself [#1699], attachment copy during issue copy [#3055] and cross-project/cross-wikipage attachment referencing [#1325]) there isn't any open issue available IIRC. Can you check and open one if needed?
