Customizing fields in notification emails

Hello everyone,

is it possible to somehow customize fields in the new issue email notifications? I am currently receiving emails with
Author, Status, Priority, Assignee, Category and Target version. I would like to add Start date and Due date.

There is no configuration options. In my opinion, you should hack Redmine, but don't know where.

I did some research. Function issue_add is not the place you have to hack, but you may try to find its callers... just a hint ...

Thanks. I also found this file and the appropriate view, but I am not very familiar with Ruby, so it is quite hard for me to edit the sources, but I will try.

Hello everyone
In the same spirit I would like to suppress Category and Target version that we not use. Would anyone know how proceed ?

It would be best, if the fields to be included in the notification emails were configurable in the administrative settings for emails. Is there a feature request for this already?
