Hi
I'm trying to set up Redmine to use within the IT Dept.
I want to manage the projects and also use redmine as a Issue Tracking/Help Desk type software solution.
The issue tracking,etc seems to be what I want but I want to be able to disbale access to the Assigned To field to only allows managers to assign task to users?
Is this possible in redmine? I can't seem to work out how to do it.

This feature is not yet implemented in Redmine 0.8/0.9-dev. See issue #3461 and in its extend issue #482 for similar requests and an implementation which seems to be not very far away from integration to the core.
