This plugin's functionality is now continued in redmine_more_previews

Plugin to preview Microsoft Office Documents in Redmine's preview pane. Requires that Libreoffice is installed.
Supports: docx, xlsx, pptx, doc, xls, ppt, doc, rtf, odt.

Installation notes

Install

1. Install Libreoffice (many linux distributions provide ready installers)
on Windows Systems Version 6.0.6.2 of libreoffice has been reported to work well

2. download plugin and copy plugin folder redmine_preview_office go to Redmine's plugins folder

3. restart server f.i.

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Uninstall

1. go to plugins folder, delete plugin folder redmine_preview_office

rm -r redmine_preview_office

2. restart server f.i.

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Läuft leider nicht unter Windows mit dem Bitnami Stack. Die Idee finde ich aber gut.
