Defect #11839
open
Text overlay when exporting issues to pdf files
Added by Erica Gallindo about 12 years ago.
Updated almost 11 years ago.
Description
I'm using a lot of custom fields in my redmine issues. A lot of them are "long text" fields. When I try to export each issue to a pdf file, the text goes beyond the limits of the page. Also, when the field name is large (more than 10 characters), it overwrites its value.
Is there a quick way to put the fields into just one column? This probably would solve my problem for now.

This bug is present in version 2.1
It makes long custom text fields unreadable on exported PDF.
Same here. Example attached.
Also experiencing this issue in version 2.2.1 stable.
- Status changed from New to Confirmed
Well, I think after this responses. We could set this to confirmed. ;-)
Exactly the same behaviour seen with Redmine 2.3.0stable (Ruby 1.9.3 (i386-mingw32), Rails 3.2.13). I'm long time user of Redmine, but ths PDF issue with long custom fields makes pdf export totally useless :-( Please help!
Same here, too.

The issue seems to be familiar with #13860 the patch delivered could be applied to version 2.2.4 too
- Related to Defect #13860: Text of custom fields is not wrapped in PDF exports of issues added
Patch for this issue is proposed here #14466
